Glitter and Gold

Hey guys! 

Wishing all a very Happy Diwali 2017! And I hope all of you had an amazing day!

This year on the occasion of the Festival of Lights, I decided to style myself in the this perfect glam ethic outfit that fits perfectly with the mood of the affair.
As you can see in the pictures above, I wore a green sleeveless center-cut embellished Kurti, along with a plain golden Lehenga and Dupatta, all that I recently purchased from various brands (listed in the credits). I chose to wear a lehenga instead of a simple pair of leggings as the skirt adds a fuller look to the outfit and makes the look more fluid and unconstrained. 

The Kurti–Lehenga style has been rocking fashion shows to local weddings and hence it seemed to be ultimate trend to try on this festive season. Moreover, the bright colour of my Kurti, light and dark green, also went well with the glitter and gold. Along with this, I matched a pair of golden glitter heels for the day.

 For my makeup, I tried to keep the look very subtle yet bold. I had put on Golden and bronze eyeshadow, and lined my eyes with a black liner and mascara. For my blush, I used a light pink shade and also highlighted my cheeks, nose and upper lips in a gold shade. I further applied an orange-pink shade lipstick to complete the makeup look. I also accessorized myself with a few golden bangles, nothing too fancy for the occasion. Lastly, to provide finishing touches to the attire,  I styled my hair like the usual, Open straight hair, and parted onto one side.
